Fifth Note is an experimental progressive rock band from the Northeast region of India, based in Kohima, the capital state of Nagaland. They were formed between 2019. Recently, they have signed a multi-record deal with Italy's Frontiers Label Group. The band's evolution is rooted in the concept of harnessing talents for the glory of God. However, they do not position themselves as a gospel band, drawing most of their influence from progressive and classic old-school genres of music.

VOCALIST

A singer, songwriter, composer, and vocalist of the band and one of the founding member of Fifth Note, born on 24th September, 1981 raised from Christian family. He started his musical journey at an early stage with very little knowledge about music then, influenced by all kind of music genre, but love to listen much on rock song. With God gifted and self-taught, he trained himself by listening to Stryper, Petra, Blood Good, Guns and Roses, LedZeppelin, White Snake, Metallica, Dragon Force, Bon Jovi, Disciple, Pantera, AC/DC, TNT and Judas Priest. As a full time musician he still hold on to his dreams to become a successful singer at this matured age and shine one day, he also strongly believe that as a true follower of Jesus Christ only God's love can change anything and he believes whatever he is now, it's all because of God's grace.

KHRIEKETHOZO SEKHOSE

GUITARIST

Gugu Sekhose, born January 11, 1988, is a talented songwriter, composer, lyricist and guitarist, known as the founding member and guitarist of 'Fifth Note.' He started playing guitar at 7, learning from his brother, and has since excelled in genres like Blues, Jazz, Fusion, Progressive Rock, Metal, and Gospel Rock. Renowned for his virtuoso command of the electric guitar, Gugu's performances captivate audiences with his technical prowess and natural flair. He's achieved recognition in major events and is a popular guitar instructor in Kohima, Nagaland. Gugu serves as the Drum and Guitar instructor at Aria Music Centre and Chromatic Clef Music Centre. In 2018, he released his single ballad instrumental piece "Gone Forever," further showcasing his musical talent.

JUBITO SWU

BASSIST

A composer and a bassist was born on 26th November, 1997 and goes by the stage name Jubi. Coming from a musical family got into the world of music at a very young age. Musically influence by Pantera, Lamb of God, Iron Maiden, Dream Theatre and Periphery. Greatly influenced by various international bass players like Billy Sheehan,Victor Wotten, John Myung and Steve Harris. He picked up the bass at the age of 11 and ever since, has established himself as a prominent bass player.

SHEDUTO KEZO

KEYBOARDIST

A pianist/keyboardist, songwriter, composer, lyricist, a music teacher/tutor was born on the 20th of August, 1991. Also mostly known as Ato Kezo hails from the sub region of northeast India, Nagaland, Kohima. His musical journey started at the early age getting inspiration from various popular bands at the time. Having played other instruments such as guitar and drums, he established himself as a pianist which he began to train himself in the art of music. Then he got involved into church praise and worship ministry for more than 10 years and counting which enabled him to boost his skills. He has since been a worship pianist until he joined Fifth Note towards the end of 2020.

DRUMMER

Born on 8th April, 1992 go by the stage name Avolie started playing drums at the age of 11years inspired by his elder brother who play drums. Playing drums was just a hobby initially but later on it turned into a passion for him. He got influenced from bands such as Led Zeppelin, Megadeth, Lamb of God, Iron Maiden, Bullet for my Valentine, Limp Bizkit. He established his skills and his first performance was at the church in 2011. He joined the band `The Brain Storm Island' in the year 2014 and has played in various events. Experiencing music with different genres for more than 13 years, he joined Fifth Note in 2019.
